Newcastle United have announced the signing of Senegal international midfielder Henri Saivet from Bordeaux for an undisclosed fee.
The Senegal international aged 25, was reported to have signed a five and half year contract with Newcastle United, for about £5 million, for an undisclosed transfer fee from Bordeaux.
His football career:
He came into international football through the youth rank at Bordeaux.
He made his first team debut in 2007, at the age of 17.
A central midfielder, who made 178 appearances for the Ligue one side, Bordeaux.
He has won nine caps for Senegal, scored 23 goals for Bordeaux, and featured twice against the Magpies in the Europa League in 2012.
