Rivers State : An Epitome of Democracy and True Jurisdiction In Nigeria.
Rivers State, a multi-ethnic community has always proven herself to be a true symbol of Nigeria's democracy: a State which the voice of the people has always been the mandate for justice.
Rivers State has always shown the relationship between democracy and justice, this can be traced back in 25 October, 2007 during the case between the Ex-Governors of the state Celestian Omehia and Rotimi Amaechi, in which then the people's mandate was Amaechi over Omehia, which made an edge for Amaechi's victory then by the Supreme Court ruling.
Once again, such relationship between democracy "the people mandate" and justice has been shown again by uphelding the April Governorship Election which made His Excellency, Chief Barrister Nyesome Wike of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), a victor over his opponent, Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Indeed, Wike "the People's mandate " has been justified, that's true democracy and rule of law.
That's why Rivers State is regarded as the "Treasure Base Of The Nation", showing true relationship between democracy and justice for the masses.
Long live Rivers State, Long live Nigeria.
