Federal Government Officially Scraps off Post UTME - Is this the right move to combat the declining state of education in the country?

The Federal Government on Thursday, officially declared scrapping off of Post UTME exercise carried out by institution in the country after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on admission to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in the Country. What's your take on this decision, will it build up the educational sector or not?

The Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu stated this after a Combined Policy Meeting on admission to Universities, Polytechnics and other tertiary institutions on Thursday, in Abuja.

The Minister expressed his confidence on the examination conducted by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB.

He said “As far as I am concerned the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing. The universities should not be holding another examination and if the universities have any complain against JAMB let them bring it and then we address it.
“If JAMB is qualified enough to conduct tests and they have conducted test then there will be no need to conduct another test for students to gain admission.”

What do you think will be JAMB's attitude towards its examination  due to this prestige given unto her?

JAMB's cut off mark was officially pegged at 180.

The Minister further requested JAMB to stop extra charges on categories such as: change of course, change of institutions and others.

Do you think this will serve as a solutions to the declining state of education in the country in the midst of exam malpractice?

What do you think will be the fate of students to higher institutions due to this privilege removed from them?
